When an earthquake or flood strikes, families can instantly lose their only home. They’re at the mercy of baking heat or raging waters or stinging sandstorms, with no protected place to sleep, cook, eat or take refuge.
After a disaster, Mercy Corps rushes emergency shelter – as well as food, water and medical supplies – to families whose lives and homes have been devastated. We make sure parents and children are safe and help them begin to rebuild.
